Fabrica is an arts space in a former church in the centre of Brighton where lovely and wonderful things happen. Susie MacMurray's Resonance is opening there today.

Tomorrow afternoon, I'll be playing music in response to Susie's show with my friend Chris Parfitt. We are absolutely thrilled to have been asked to play in such an inspiring space and are going to be exploring new ideas which we've been working on and which we feel now need to be aired in such a venue. It couldn't be better timing for this.

Chris and I have known each other for about 8 years and have played in various combos together in that time, but this is our first duo project and we are having fun with it. So, we'll be using violin, soprano saxophone and flute with lots of found and recorded sounds to create an audio work based on intimacy and distance.

The gallery will be open as usual, so it's not a gig as such and will be quite informal, but we are dying to see the exhibition and hope to respond to it in interesting ways. It's free and we'll be playing throughout the afternoon from about 2 til 5. If you can bear to be pulled away from the men's final at Wimbledon, then we would love to see you.
