Postcard from Brighton
If the twilight sky was like this you know I'd be out in it. But the weather roars and grinds past as if dragging a huge weight. When it woke me in the night, I was tricked into wondering how come there was so much traffic!
Ever hopeful, the pier lights blink their routines, same as any other night. If the storm dies down as promised, I'll be strolling out around midnight to watch fireworks on the beach and to toast the new year in.
To my friends and family in Britain and across the world who read this blog, to my wonderful blogging buddies near and far, to everyone who follows Inkhaven and to all of you who send comments here, thanks for keeping in touch through the last year. It wouldn't be the same without you.
Wishing you all a peaceful and creative 2013.
Love from Annie x

I was hoping that blue sky was your day Annie - but maybe not? It is always a joy to come and read your words, your thoughts and see your world and nature. Wishing you a new year of peace and creativity and much happiness.
Hi Fiona. You're right. No chance of any blue here yesterday. It obviously waited to be bright and chilly and perfect for heading out the door! So, that's what I'll be doing soon. Thanks for your kind words. Here's to 2013!!
Thank you for delighting us with your thoughts and words. Happy New year Annie!
I hope you got a look at fireworks...no matter, best creative wishes for your 2013.
We woke up to sunshine...where are my sunglasses?
Hi Robyn. Well, thanks for reading!! Here we go into 2013......Happy New Year.
Hi Mary Ann. Yes, saw some lovely fireworks. A few were a bit too close for comfort right beside me on the pavement. Never having seen them SO close up was amazing, but I did feel better after I had run a bit further away! Yes, lots of sunshine here as well today. A real treat. Happy New Year.
Thank you Annie for your inspiring posts -a very happy and creative new year
