What my dream told me

5. What my dream told me

It made sense in the night,
eyes still shut to hold the spell.
What my dream told me has flown,
except for strange words
only the darkness can understand.

Lovely and so, so true for me also. There were wind goblins in my dreams last night.

Hi Alfred. Thank you. It's been such a stormy time! No wonder everyone's dreams are unsettled.

This works nicely. And i know about those night writings.
haha. :)

sometimes a better phrase comes from trying to interpret the sleepy scrawl.

I find writing in the dark of night clears the head but confuses it again when I try to decipher!

(Perhaps the camera was held upside down? Blame the equipment!)

Strangely my word verification is 'canlosto' which seems to fit your poem subject.

Hi mansuetude. Thank you. It's been a while since I was writing in the night. Last time, I managed to write over what I had already written!!

Hi Jeane. Thanks. Your comment has left me wondering if a dream is more of a feeling that remains rather than anything more specific.....

Hi Gordon. Thanks. Yes - maybe that's where we all go wrong, by trying to decipher and make it make sense in the real world when it belongs in a more elusive place? The word verification elf obviously knew it was you.
