Sea rage

3. Sea rage

Listening to the storm, the sea rage,
I'm remembering dark days like these,
all of us blown into school assembly,
sombre prayers for fathers at sea.

I like the intensity that grows as the reader approaches the end. Well penned!

I can see it all so clearly Annie.

Hi Alfred. Thanks for dropping by and for leaving a comment. Can't help hearing the wind and the waves today.

Hi Robyn. Thanks. Wild weather here. I hope no-one's out in those waves.

Blown into the school assembly - wow. This is very powerful; even sitting here in Australia's summer afternoon with blues skies and light breezes. I was with you for a bit...and read and re-read it.

Hi Fiona. Thank you. The weather state that inspired it was pretty powerful as well!! It really did remind me of those doom-voiced prayers when I was a kid.
