Pristine

7. Pristine

Between each wave,
the silence is complete,
the foam, pristine,
lingering.
I want to tiptoe out,
believe this is new snow.

My pleasure in the sea is visual and aural, you have captured both aspects perfectly here.

Hi Sandra. Mine too, except I always want to be in it as well!! Maybe not this time of year, though. Thanks.

You've evoked being on the beach for me - lovely - bit cold I agree!

Annie - I just love January and your river of stones. Each one makes my day - thank you!

Hi Rosie. That's good. Pleased you could enjoy it from inside! Thanks

Hi Fiona. Thanks so much. Good to hear as I love finding and writing them. There are hundreds more to read of course, if you check out the real river.

It must be nippy .... but refreshing. I can smell it!

What delight...foam and or new snow?!! You do have a way...again delightful!

The sound of the word 'pristine' really brings out the sound of waves through shingle from the silence, Annie.

Hi Robyn. It was nippy today. Not a day for paddling!! But the sun was back.......spent most of the day outdoors. Thanks.

Hi Mary Ann. Foam, when I last checked, although it still makes me look again! Thanks so much. Pleased you enjoyed.

Hi Gordon. Thanks. Pristine seemed to go at the right speed for the spaces in between those waves. A happy accident, really, rather than a search for the right word.

Hi Jeane. Thanks. That's a nice turn of phrase - nailed the moment......Any small stones in your notebook this year? Ax
