Late dawn

6. Late dawn

Only this time of year,
you open the curtains
7.30 am
and look into the dark.

Oh my - now that's a reminder that we are in opposite hemispheres. We are bright about 4.45am at the moment and when you don't have blinds because you love the view and have total privacy - you wake ealry. Either the light or the birds tap dancing on the roof...

Hi Fiona. Thanks for dropping by. Our turn for those things, including the tap dancing birds, in June!! It seems so far off, but today is blue and bright so I don't mind the long dark hours. What I would give right now for a swim in warm seas........

Oh how I hate getting up in the dark - it feels all wrong!

Hi Rosie. I know what you mean. I seem to wake about the same time each day all year round, so I'm looking forward to this phase of dark starts being over.

so lovely. a moment's witness.

.
here we are getting sunrise on the river at before six thirty am, but darkness at night seems earlier. Soon it will be your great ripe garden.

Hi mansuetude. Thank you. I just did the same thing today, except there's a thin line of blue looking in at me. Yes, soon the garden will be pushing up to meet the sky.....
