One of the best things about 2011 has been exploring different ways of presenting my work to an audience. Music, poetry and live literature have been adventuring pretty much since the year began. What more could I have wanted?
The new year will see me adding more tracks to my brand new soundcloud page. You'll be able to head there other times by clicking the 'Music tracks' tab beneath my header photo. I'll also be cheering up January by dipping my toes into another river of stones. So, lots of little pieces to come.
It's been a busy year, so the thought I have in mind for 2012 is about slowing down a bit. Sometimes you just need to make space. So, put your coat and scarf on, leave the house, cross the road, walk down lots of steps, crunch across the stones.........sometimes grey grey grey, sometimes like the shot below.
Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.
Thanks for reading. Ax

happy, shiny new year, Annie!
Hi Lyn. Thanks so much. Nearly there! Hoping it will be good for you.
I'm captured by your interior space and smiling at your outdoor space...you have some very lovely spaces to play! Happy 2012!
Hi Mary Ann. They're great spaces to play!! The top one is actually a rehearsal/workshop space that was new to me in 2011 and has helped bring about some interesting work. It became something else when we tried a piece there....
The thought of slowing down makes me feel at ease so that's a very good place for me to start the new year as well. Wishing you many hours of beach meandering and clearing space in your mind for all the wonders this year will bring.
P.S. LOVE your header!
Hi Robyn. Yes, just the idea of doing everything slower makes me feel better already!! Thanks so much. I was meandering on the beach this morning until the rain swept in, so very happy that I only had to run a little way to get home.
The header is taken from the piece I workshopped in that space shown above. Lots of threads on the go there and all very exciting, hence the need to slow down and just let the piece emerge. Wishing you all the best.
making space - such a wise idea - it's the first effort isn't it - just putting the idea into motion and then staying with it - so wise, xoxo
Hi Jeane. Well, it seems to be what I need to do next, just sit back a bit with the ideas and see where they lead me, hoping they tell me what to do next!! Might have to wait a while. Might not be wise!! Ax
