Half-way station

Sometimes, you only get halfway somewhere. And then there's a problem with going forwards or back. Half-way station is now closed for the Winter and it looks like the next train might arrive in about 6 months time.

Sorry that so many of you are having trouble leaving comments. Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon and that you might come back and try again. Try making sure you're logged in before leaving a comment and wait for the word verification tab to trundle up.

Here's a beach find from yesterday that seems to express the right kind of grimace about the proceedings.

oh, I love the idea of the 'Half Way Station' - such an idea can muster so many ideas!! and just so you know, people having trouble on my blog too leaving comments, but I hope, as you do, that it will all shake out in the end xo

wow, that was weird, the comment box switched to the old type of box and then I had to comment again - odd! I always make a copy before I hit publish just in case and in this case, glad I did xo

Hi Jeane. Thanks. Yes, It's a funny little spot that I like musing about! It's close by, at the bottom of all those steps that go down to the beach from here. I LOVE blackboards and there's usually a scrawled message about train times on another one they have there. "Last train 4pm" has now been wiped away, sadly.

And re. comments - I had that old style box as well, earlier. All the little people stamps came up and eventually, my original message appeared out of nothing. Guess this might mean that something is afoot. Thanks for persevering. Ax

Hi Annie so many lovely ponderings around a half way station! I am away from home and have just discovered dynamic views are not supported on mobile devices (iPad or iPhone) so they sent me to a non-dynamic version. All good for commenting so far.

Yes, it does seem to be getting easier...only two tries to get to here.
Love the photo...love the halfway stuff! We do get busy with leaving and arriving and sometimes it is perfect to be halfway,

Hi Fiona. Thanks. Well, it's such a great name I can't help myself! Seems bizarre that these new dynamic views aren't supported by new dynamic devices!! Good to be able to try the alternative.

Hi Mary Ann. Pleased to hear that! And thanks for trying again. Pleased you liked the photo. I'm with you on the halfway philosophy!
